Overview
CCR is supporting a leading IT specialist, experts within the Hospitality Sector. We are hiring for a customer-focused IT Field Engineer to join their team. The role comprises of both site and field-based predominantly in the central London aera (M25) with occasional travel beyond. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting hospitality clients, and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft technologies (365 and desktop), and ideally fundamental networking skills.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site IT Support: Provide hands-on technical assistance at client sites, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Hospitality Technology Management: maintain hospitality-specific IT systems such as POS systems, guest Wi-Fi, and property management systems (PMS).
- Networking: Diagnose and resolve basic network issues, including connectivity problems and hardware setup.
- Customer Interaction: Have good client facing skills, have a proactive nature to client engagement with a goal of building strong relationships with clients.
- Documentation: Be diligent in the creation of support tickets and produce detailed documentation accounting for work/support that has been carried out.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless IT operations for hospitality clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and applications (e.g., Windows Server, Office 365).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, Troubleshooting desktop and wifi connectivity.
- Preferably familiar with hospitality IT systems (POS systems, PMS).
Experience:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of experience in an IT support or field engineering role.
- Certifications (preferred but not required):
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. MCSA).
- Networking certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network+ or CCNA).
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel between client sites as required.
- Flexibility to work outside standard office hours when necessary.
